Could I hate Brett Farve more? The answer - Yes.
In response to a previous post where I rant about the college committee who was outlawing all things “Twitter.” Take this!
I smell a trivia question on this someday… maybe my own version of Slumdog Millionaire?
“James Cameron’s completely immersive spectacle “Avatar” may have been a little too real for some fans who say they have experienced depression and suicidal thoughts after seeing the film because they long to enjoy the beauty of the alien world Pandora.” - cnn.com
Finally something for those of you who hate hauling around the bulky Kindle :P
Such a touching story. Wow. We packed one of those boxes this year :)
HGTV vs. Cablevision: FIGHT NIGHT!
I’m very fortunate to not be associated with either of these companies. They are very publicly fighting about compensation negotiations. What an interesting display of social media prowess. You can read through comments posted on HGTV and they mention people (fans) as well as address direct concerns. Cablevision is responding to some comments, but the discussion is coming down to the customers who truly have no say in the matter - or do they?
There are groups forming boycotting Cablevision and publicizing this… at what point do you think it will impact their bottom line. Intriguing.
Here’s the HGTV site they’ve created.
PS - I do love my HGTV :)

I think that’s a good start!
I have to rant a little after reading this article. I don’t know who this LSSU Committee is but they sound like a large group of closed-minded Republicans. “‘We say Obamanough already,’ the LSSU committee said.” Really? I personally have not heard “Obamanomics” or “Obamacare” more than 1 or 2 times as a news broadcast headline. Definitely not enough to “ban” it. Ridiculous.
But now to the big point. Social networking. Well hell, they should just ban everything. Tweeting on Twitter is an action. It is a verb. It’s part of our culture and it was derived the same way “unfriend” and “friending” have become verbs. The English language is ever evolving and I’m sorry that the new Web 2.0 is creating new words. It’s creating a new marketplace and a new economy. Decisions are made differently, relationships are viewed differently and the world is a different place. Get over it.
Social Networks cited as divorce cause.
